These Terms of Service govern your use of LAIRIK, an AI-powered tutoring platform operated by Lairik Technologies, based in Imphal, Manipur, India. By accessing or using LAIRIK, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms on your behalf.

1. About LAIRIK

LAIRIK is an AI-powered educational assistant designed exclusively for students preparing for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM). The platform provides step-by-step tutoring in Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and English based on the BOSEM Class 10 syllabus.

2. Eligibility and Parental Consent

LAIRIK is intended primarily for students aged 14–16 years preparing for the BOSEM Class 10 examination, as well as their parents and guardians.

• If you are under 18 years of age, you may only use LAIRIK with the express consent of a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
• By creating an account for a minor, the parent or guardian confirms they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts where we have reason to believe parental consent has not been obtained for minor users.

3. Account Registration

To access LAIRIK's full features, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or phone number verification. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others.
• Notify us immediately at support@lairik.in if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used fraudulently.

4. Free Trial and Subscription

LAIRIK offers a limited free trial and a paid subscription plan.

• Free Trial: New users receive 20 free questions upon registration. No payment information is required to access the free trial.
• Pro Subscription: After exhausting free questions, continued access requires a subscription at ₹399 per month (subject to change with 30 days' prior notice).
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly. Payment is processed through our payment partner. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months already paid.
• Refunds: Refund requests must be made within 7 days of the initial subscription charge and submitted to support@lairik.in Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

5. Nature of AI-Generated Content

Important - Please Read Carefully

LAIRIK uses artificial intelligence to generate tutoring responses. While we have designed the system to be accurate and aligned with the BOSEM Class 10 syllabus, AI-generated content may occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

• LAIRIK is a supplementary learning tool and does not replace your BOSEM-prescribed textbooks, your school teachers, or official BOSEM study materials.
• Always verify important facts, chapter references, and mark weightages with your official textbook or teacher.
• LAIRIK does not guarantee any specific examination result or score.
• Lairik Technologies is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM).

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use LAIRIK only for lawful educational purposes. You must not:

• Use LAIRIK to cheat in live examinations, internal assessments, or assignments submitted for academic credit.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract LAIRIK's AI models, system prompts, or proprietary content.
• Share your account credentials with others or resell access to the platform.
• Input personal information of third parties without their consent.
• Use the platform to generate content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, or violates any applicable Indian law.
• Attempt to circumvent subscription limits or free trial restrictions by creating multiple accounts.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, branding, and materials on LAIRIK - including the name "LAIRIK", the logo, the system prompts, and the website - are the intellectual property of Lairik Technologies. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of LAIRIK without prior written permission.

Your chat inputs and conversations remain your own. By using LAIRIK, you grant us a limited licence to process your inputs for the purpose of generating AI responses and improving our service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

LAIRIK is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Lairik Technologies makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• That the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• That AI responses will always be accurate or complete.
• That the platform will always be available, particularly during maintenance or unforeseen outages.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Lairik Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of LAIRIK, including any loss of data, examination results, or academic outcomes. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 30 days preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of LAIRIK shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting us at support@lairik.in. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Imphal, Manipur, India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of LAIRIK after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
